In the above picture we can see a small kid with a mail in his left hand and a gift in his right hand, but still he is anticipating another mail from the mail box. Eventhough another mail arrives, how is this kid going to carry it? God knows what to give and at what time should we recieve it. In this world we human are like that, greedy for many things in life. We may not get what all we wish for, but God gives everything we are in need of.
So, dear all, leave your choice to him and I am sure you will get the Best from Him. Since he knows our desire, even before we say to him.

Prayer of the Faithful

For the prayer of the faithful, let our response be - Lord graciously hear us.

- Sunday 9th Nov 2008 - Feast of the Dedication of the Lateran Basilica in Rome)

############################################
Let us pray for the Mother Church, especially for the St. John Lateran Basilica in Rome, where they are celebrating the Feast of Dedication, may God bless them, renew their witness, and guide them in being a light for others, and may we be united in one Spirit and be a source of hope to all who struggle and feel God’s existence and mysterious presence. We pray this to the Lord.

Let us pray for all who exercise ministry in the church, especially Pope Benedict and the Bishops: that God will renew them in Spirit, guide them in bringing God’s love and truth to the world, and inspire them to bring forth all the gifts needed by the Body of Christ. We pray this to the Lord.

Let us pray for all the migrants here in Jinju, may the Lord see their sufferings from injustice and break down the barriers of prejudice, corruption, and selfishness, and open the gates of freedom and opportunity to all who are oppressed. May God change their hearts and open their minds to new ways to end violence and resolve disputes. We pray this to the Lord.

Let us pray for all of us, gathered here in faith, to celebrate this mass. May the Lord grant us sufficient courage to act as he did in the temple and to trust him whole heartedly always. May we all realize that every Mass is a chance for all of us, to join Jesus as part of this loving Paschal sacrifice, that puts God first, not second, not last in our lives. We pray this to the Lord.

We pray this to the Lord

Let us pray for all the faithful departed, our beloved family members and friends, who are buried with God through baptism. May we hope that they will be united with our Lord in the resurrection too, let this be a day of hope for all of us today. This is our hope both for ourselves and those who have gone before us marked with the sign of faith. We pray this to the Lord

Let us pray for the all the migrants here in Jinju, may they tie their own hope in life after death tightly and irremovably to the resurrection of Jesus. So that by God’s gracious mercy, their loved and lost ones be raised to eternal life. And may they realize that the daily process of dying and rising will come to completion when we finally pass through physical death and rise to eternal life. We pray this to the Lord

Let us pray for all of us gathered here to commemorate the “All Souls day”, may we all fully understand the value of annually celebrating this feast day, which is to remember our beloved dead in the midst of a community of faith that believes in the hope of the gospel. A Meditation for Epiphany

For centuries church calendars in the East and the West have agreed that there are twelve days of Christmas and they begin on Christmas Day and end on January 6. The twelve days of Christmas end with the Feast of Epiphany also called "The Adoration of the Magi" or "The Manifestation of God." Celebrated on January 6, it is known as the day of the Three Kings (or wise men/magi): Caspar, Melchior and Balthasar. According to legend, these three kings saw, on the night when Christ was born, a bright star, followed it to Bethlehem and found there the Christ child and presented it with gold, frankincense and myrrh. January 6, the last day of Christmas, comes with its own traditions, rituals and symbols.

May this holy season be for each of us :
  • A time of moving beyond what is reasonable
  • And toward the star of wonder
  • Moving beyond grasping tight to what we have
  • To unclenching our hands and letting go
  • Following the Light where it leads
  • Moving beyond competition toward cooperation
  • Seeing that all humans are sisters and brothers
  • Moving beyond the anxiety of small concerns
  • Towards the joys of justice and peace
May the transforming acceptance of Mary and Joseph, The imagination of the shepherds, And the persistence of the wise men Guide us as we seek the Truth, Always moving toward the Divine promise. Always aware God can be hidden in the frailest among us, Always open to the unexpected flash of Grace, To the showing forth of that Love that embraces us all.

Dear all, a small prayer to reflect and meditate on this feast day of Epiphany:

Dear Jesus, as You led the Three Kings to You by the light of a star, please draw us ever closer to You by the light of Faith. May your light shine our way. Help us to desire You as passionately as they did, to worship You, the Child of Mary, the Word of the Father, the King of Nations, the Saviour of mankind, to whom be. Give us the grace to overcome all the obstacles that keep us far from You. May we, like them, have something to give You when we appear before You. Mary, Our Mother, help us to know Your Son. Amen.
